I have been going in circles for a week. I start to write, but go off in totally different directions. It seems like I’m doing ANYTHING to avoid writing. (That’s why this blog post is so “nothing.”)

So, what do you do when you are self-sabotaging your own writing?

One Reply to “What Do You Do When You Don’t Really Feel like Writing?”

  1. Wouldn’t you know, I found an answer on the Internet. (Yes, THAT Internet… The source of all truth.)
This guy Jonathan Vieker, says in this article <https://jonathanvieker.com/what-to-do-when-you-dont-feel-like-working/> that I should start anyhow. While we have the blessing of being emotional creatures, feelings aren’t the end-all we like to think they are. If we put on our hip boots and wade into the sludge in spite of of wishing we were on a couch reading the first book of a massive trilogy, our emotions will follow our actions.

I will let you know how it works for me.
